Seems loads of people I know are talking about their ways to beat the summer heat. So I will sound off on what we like to do. We love to hit the river or the pool (if it isn't too crowded). We tried a new river spot this weekend and the draw back was there really wasn't anywhere flat to put our "sitting spot". Then after we had been there for an hour or so lots and lots of people started showing up. I can't feel like we don't have any room to move around so we headed for town. Dropped Busy Body off to Daddy who stayed home to finish a project. I was hoping since the house would be quiet she could get in a nap and she did, SCORE!! We decided to get sonic happy hour drinks and hit the pool for a bit. I found a nice quiet spot to put our "sitting spot"....it was shaded, a slight breeze was blowing, and the kids' hit the pool. I got to watch them play, take a few pictures, and read some more of my book. I was thrilled with how we spent our Sunday, the girls' said "Wow mom we straightened up before church and after lunch, but that was it for chores. Woo Hoo we love Sundays!!!!"
Mood: Sinus pressure...feel tight around my eyes
Weather: Some sun and some clouds
Music: Curious George is on for Busy Body
Dinner: Pork Chops with Onion Chipotle Raspberry Glaze, Corn on the Cob, Spinach and Fresh Ice Cold Watermelon for dessert
