Works for Me Wednesday.....

My take of what works for me is similar to Kristen's item ( We are THAT Family in my links).....we created some "You Are Special" place mats for each of the girls'. It was fun making them.....I picked a different color for each girl and tried to make them each individualized. The girls' eat off of them after a good week at school, after winning an award, having a good report card, for birthdays, and holidays. Now I need to let them make one that Mom or Dad can use cause I like Kristen's idea that we are special too. I took pics so you can see how they turned out.




As for my day today....
We got the house cleaned up, the laundry done, leftovers eaten for lunch so that cleaned out the fridge, KK got her school work done, and now we are relaxing till it is time for KK to go meet the girls' and head off to youth group. I also cleaned off the middle cubbie of mine and DH's desk. Watching Bizarre Foods which can be gross but usually really interesting. Not much else going on today...I have the doors and windows thrown open, the breeze is blowing, it is 84 degrees and bright sunshine here today.

Counting my Blessings:
Light Breeze through my open windows
Enjoying a beautiful sunny day in shorts and a tank top
Listening to the birds singing in the trees
Not having to make a big dinner tonight
My house is clean and now we can sit and relax

Mood: Yawn
Music: None
Weather: Gorgeous
Dinner: French Onion Soup, Salad, and Baked Potatoes

    Those mats are an AWESOME idea! What did you use to cover them? Did you use clear contact or did you use a laminating machine?

    Clear contact and just whatever odds and ends I had that each girl liked :) The yellow one we actually made at MOPS with a laminating machine.
