Mother's Day....

My girls' always take good care of me on Mother's day....LOVE the homemade gifts, cooking, and cleaning they do for me.  The crafter in me thinks every thing they make is a masterpiece :)  But this year has me being more reflective of the gifts we are given by God.  His plans are so much better than anything we could ever ask for and certainly better than the bad/negative we wouldn't ask for.  God has given me a Mother In Love that far surpasses anything I asked for when I have prayed for things to be better.  My mother and I do not have a relationship....the work the Lord has done in me in this area is huge!!  I have no resentments, anger, or pain over what might have been anymore.  There is only a true spirit of forgiveness and now in the last year an ability to pray for her....this in itself is an amazing gift.  I love that even when I wasn't in-tune with God he was talking to me anyways.  I know it was God's moving that brought "E" to live with us.  The last year has shown me this more and more.  There are days when bless her heart waking up and getting out of bed are a struggle.  Simple things that those of us in good health think of as nothing are great triumphs when she has a good enough pain day to manage them.  She has the biggest heart of anyone I know!!! I find when I hurt these days that the me from my younger years would have loved to have a mother to run to but didn't.  Now I do....if anything bothers me I can talk it through with her and get ideas I would never have even thought of.  Her heart for others, her being a prayer warrior, and simple joys/life lessons she shares with my girls' will leave a legacy that I know will reach far into generations to come.  I am grateful she is with us and though I know most days are a struggle to get through I am thankful she is keepin on!!  I know plenty of wonderful ladies who they and their MIL's don't care for one another.  I wish and pray for them that this changes....what true treasure and blessing mine is to me.  Thanks Mom for all the heart to hearts, for the laughter, prayer, and bible knowledge you help me with.  I didn't just get the gift of my DH...I got a two for one!!!!  HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY :)

  1. My dearest daughter.,...I love you with all my heart and all my soul. You have enriched my life in many ways...were it not for you, I think I would not be so longsuffering....I might have become a very nasty mean person. Just a few moments ago, in a severe pain time, I cried out to God asking Him why do you keep me here....letting me suffer. What purpose could I possibly serve. God sent me here to read your loving words....Thank you more than you can even imagine for the help in ways only our Heavenly Father knows....as the kids and I call him.... "Thank You Holy God for all you give us in every way on every day" Amen! ♥♥♥
